Christie Bonniwell (Delaware)

Christie grew up in Camden, Delaware. She was introduced to hunting by her father, Ken Starke, at the age of 12.  She always admired her father and could not wait to get out into the woods with him; it did not take much convincing to let her take the Hunter Education course.  The passion for the outdoors grew with her as she got older.  Christie harvested her first deer at the age of 14.

With such a passion for the outdoors, Christie decided she wanted to take that passion into her career and got her Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife Management. She is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Natural Resources.

Christie has hunted a variety of game including White Tail Deer, North American Wild Turkeys, Ducks, Geese, Upland Game, and more recently Sika Deer.  Her favorite hunts are those that are spent with her father or her husband.  Her dream is to be able to go out west with her father and hunt Elk.   She has hunted and harvested game with a bow, shotgun, rifle, and muzzleloader.

Christie continues to strive to learn as much as she can and loves to share that information with anyone who will listen. She plans to finish her Master’s degree and spread her love of hunting and the outdoors with all.
